Set your PSC password
Completion requirements
You will need a Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center (PSC) account to access the Bridges-2 system used in this workshop. Follow the three steps below to set up your account:
Step 1: Verify that you have been added to the TRA210017: International HPC Summer School 2023 allocation.
- If you have not logged into the ACCESS portal, please log in at https://allocations.access-ci.org/login.
- Go to the ACCESS Allocations Summary webpage at https://allocations.access-ci.org/allocations/summary. (Allocations>Manage Allocations>Allocations Usage)
- On the Allocations Summary webpage, you should see the project titled "International HPC Summer School 2023 - TRA210017." If you see it, proceed to step 2. Otherwise, email alameda@illinois.edu requesting that you be added to the project before proceeding to step 2.
Step 2: Locate your PSC username.
- Go to your ACCESS Allocations Profile Information webpage at https://allocations.access-ci.org/profile (Allocations>My ACCESS>Edit Profile).
- Scroll down the page to the Resource Provider Site Usernames section, where you will see your username for the "Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center."
Step 3: Set your PSC password.
- Go to the PSC Password Change Utility at https://apr.psc.edu/.
- Follow the instructions to reset your password using the PSC username you found in Step 2.
Step 4: Test Bridges access.
- Using a terminal, SSH to bridges:
ssh USERNAME@bridges2.psc.edu
